DA MODERNIDADE A SUSTENTABILIDADE: A PERPETUAÇÃO DE UM DISCURSO

Resumo
Há séculos atrás, diversos agentes de um mundo, que ainda não era muito conhecido, nos impuseram o fato de que sem os avanços modernos deles, nunca deixaríamos de ser atrasados. Hoje, esses mesmos agentes voltam a dizer que devido à nossa modernidade o mundo entrará em colapso, que culminará com o fim da existência humana. Para impedirmos isso, precisamos ser de acordo com esses agentes, ecologicamente mais sustentáveis. A partir disso, coloco as questões que gostaria de esclarecer nesta breve pesquisa: que tipo de sustentabilidade estamos procurando? Ou, que tipo de sustentabilidade estamos sendo compelidos a procurar?

Abstract
Many centuries ago, several agents of a world, which wasn’t so much known until that moment, imposed us the fact that without their modern advances, we would never stop being underdeveloped. Nowadays these same agents return telling us that because of our modernity the world will get in a break-down that will culminate in the end of the human species. To stop it we need to be, according to according those agents, more ecologically sustainable. Since that, I’ve put the question that I would like to clarify on this short research: what kind of sustainability are we looking for? Or, what kind of sustainability we’ve been compiled to look for?
